Last week before the massive snow storm hit southern Alberta the footings were poured. On Monday they formed the basement walls and poured them. I think we have auntie Di to thank for the sweet picture of them pouring with the pump truck. On Wednesday we went out and laid the weeping tile and tarred, but I brought the wrong camera cord home this weekend so you will have to trust me that the walls look good and straight. This week it should be backfilled and the cistern and septic put in.

Yesterday Bevans Excavating dug the hole for the basement. They are all done now and the footings will be put in on Monday.

Mom and dad are very concerned about getting the right view, so I am standing where the front door will be and Mike and Jeff made a window frame where it will be. ha ha ha Looked good to us!!!

Alright things are finally starting to happen. I will upload some pictures this weekend, but just wanted to update everyone. We are starting to dig the basement tomorrow morning!!! I went and staked out the house today and I am meeting the excavator tomorrow. I promise pictures by Sunday. Dad sent me a bunch he took so we will have to see what ends up making the cut.
